On September 12, 2001, recovery felt impossible after the events that unfolded the day before. Over the following days, weeks, and months to come, society learned the best way to move towards a brighter and better future is by honoring the memory of those who lost their lives. Twenty-two years later, we still hold the memory of all the precious lives and their families that were impacted. These memories help us heal and continue to hold our loved ones close to our hearts. To all our service members and their families, our veterans, all the survivors and loved ones who sacrificed so much for our nation: we honor you.
As we recapture the American spirit of courage, resilience, and unity, we encourage a new generation to commemorate the victims of this tragedy and to honor the brave first responders for their tireless service.
