National Hispanic Heritage Month

September 29, 2020 / Mb Staffing

As of September 15 and continuing through October 15, the United States is observing National Hispanic Heritage Month. The month is dedicated to Americans who trace their ancestry to Mexico, the Caribbean Central and South America and Spain. The significance of September 15 is as the anniversary of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Independence for Mexico is celebrated on September 16, and September 18 marks independence for Chile.

Mb Staffing wants to take the opportunity to honor the Latin American members of our corporate family and extended family. It is our privilege to know and work with the Latin American community in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. We have the great honor of living in a vibrant multicultural society, particularly in the D.C. region, and we could not do our work without the contribution of members of these communities. Even though we carry our gratitude and humble respect every single day, we are grateful for this month of commemoration.
