Dear colleagues & friends,
For this year’s Memorial Day, we’d like to suggest that the holiday might perhaps take on an added layer of meaning. Of course, every year on this day we remember those we have lost in military service. They are our friends and family, and this time to honor their memory is sacred. In addition, however, we believe that in 2021 we would be remiss if we did not also look to our friends and family who have sacrificed themselves in another way.
We’d like to take a moment to look back on where our country and the world were this time a year ago. The COVID-19 pandemic had been in this country for only a couple of months. We were living in quarantine with our eyes glued to the news. So many of us everywhere were getting sick, and our healthcare professionals were now faced with the enormous task of taking care of the sick in ever greater numbers.
As we are now seeing, with the pandemic slowly receding, our healthcare workers won the fight. In the process, however, many of them got sick themselves, and far too many lost their lives. In a very different but equally valiant way, they sacrificed themselves for all of us, along with their counterparts all over the world.
And so, for 2021, Mb Staffing would like to take this opportunity to honor the memory of our healthcare workers along with our service men and women. We will never forget them or their tireless service.
