PSA – Go Vote!
As the 2020 election comes closer, Mb would like to take a moment to remind all our clients, associates, and friends to take the time to go and vote.
In addition to the presidential election, various other offices and ballot measures are up for vote. You can learn more by visiting your state’s electoral website, linked below.
Important dates to keep in mind are as follows:
- Tuesday, October 13: The deadline to register to vote (If registering by mail in Maryland or Virginia, it must be postmarked by October 13. If registering by mail in DC, it must be received by October 13.)
- Tuesday, October 20: The deadline to request a ballot by mail in Maryland. (The local election official must receive the request by this date.)
- Friday, October 23: The deadline to request a ballot by mail in Virginia. (The local election official must receive the request by 5pm.)
- Saturday, September 19-Saturday, October 31: The early voting period in Virginia. (Dates and hours may vary by polling place.)
- Monday, October 26-Monday, November 2: The early voting period in Maryland. (Dates and hours may vary by polling place.)
- Tuesday, October 27-Monday, November 2: The early voting period in Washington, DC. (Dates and hours may vary by polling place.)
- Saturday, October 31: The deadline to apply in person for a mail-in ballot in Virginia.
- Tuesday, November 3: Election Day (in DC and Maryland you can also register to vote on Election Day.)
